SISU / MISY Certificate (Pathway to Progress)
NEURODIVERGENT VOCATIONAL AND LIFE SKILLS PROGRAM
The Pathway to Progress program supports neurodivergent youth aged 16 to 19 by providing a safe, structured, and uplifting environment where they can learn essential life skills and foundational vocational abilities. The aim is to strengthen independence, build confidence, and prepare each learner for future opportunities that match their abilities.
SISU adapts every part of the program to meet the needs of students with learning difficulties or more severe disabilities. Training is delivered through routines, visual aids, hands-on practice, and patient, supportive coaching.
What students learn
- Life skills such as hygiene, communication, emotional awareness, and working within routines
- Basic kitchen abilities including food preparation, kitchen hygiene, and teamwork
- Barista foundations such as simple beverage preparation and equipment care
- Creative mixology activities using non-alcoholic recipes to develop sequencing and motor skills
- Basic first aid awareness to help students understand simple safety responses
- Digital and financial literacy at an accessible level, focusing on everyday practical use
