HUMANITARIAN RELIEF
SISU’S RESPONSE TO THE MYANMAR EARTHQUAKE
REAL SUPPORT. REAL SKILLS. REAL IMPACT.
On March 28, 2025, a powerful earthquake struck Mandalay. In the aftermath, World Central Kitchen, Coca-Cola Limited, The Ayala Foundation, Yoma Group of Companies and private individuals trusted Step-in Step-up (SISU) to source, package and load around 28,000 Food Kits to provide approximately 1.6 million meals and other relief items. But our work extended beyond crisis response. As always, SISU used this as a teaching opportunity, and to build long-term resilience by training our students in critical logistics and supply chain skills and applying them practically.
- 120+ trainees received hands-on experience
- Key vocational skills and problem-solving
- Working in high-pressure operations
- Provided employment opportunities for surrounding vulnerable communities
“Being trusted with real responsibility during the relief gave me the confidence to believe in my future.”

Earthquake Response

SISU supports communities during humanitarian crises such as flooding, fires, earthquakes and cyclones by providing essential supplies—including food, clean water, and clothing—to affected families.
Beyond emergency relief, SISU works closely with local partners to ensure that aid is delivered quickly, responsibly, and with respect to the dignity of those we serve. Our approach prioritizes practical solutions, efficient coordination, and long-term resilience.
