Our History

From most vulnerable to valuable

In 2016, Step-in Step-up started as a domestic helper group in our Founder’s home, learning such skills as general house cleaning, washing and ironing, personal hygiene, grooming, taking care of animals, grocery shopping, cooking and basic English.

The demand for these friendly, confident ladies grew and so a classroom was acquired. Boys were invited into the program and a vocational skills rotation was created.

Since 2016

Educating with purpose, changing lives

In November 2021, SISU rented Dulwich College Campus which can now accept more than 500 trainees.

Our Social Impact Partners

At SISU, we believe real change happens through strong partnerships. Our work in transforming lives through vocational training is only possible because of the incredible support of our Social Impact Partners.

We work with two types of Business Partners who play equally vital roles. The first are our donors, whose generosity allows us to support disadvantaged individuals and expand access to education.

The second are our employment partners, who offer internships and jobs to our graduates. By welcoming our trainees into real workplaces, they help turn skills into sustainable careers and ensure long-term impact beyond the classroom.

Together, our partners make meaningful change possible.
