SISU APPROACH

SISU takes a holistic approach to its program

Trainee Benefits: As the community that SISU serves is from marginalised areas, not only is the training and job placement completely free to the trainees, but SISU also provides a training allowance. This enables the trainees to contribute to the family income while training and it is a key factor in the retention rate of our trainees.

Other benefits include a nutritious lunch (often the only meal of the day), medical check-ups, 3G allowance and uniforms. All they need to bring is their willing attitudes and growth mindsets.

Rounded Training Program: The approach is enabling trainees to successfully integrate into the workplace. A key aspect of this is the simulated classrooms for theory and practical classroom learning, to enable successful employment within our Business Partners’ organisations.

Core Curriculum: In addition to the vocational skills, SISU’s CORE curriculum includes basic English, Digital Literacy, Financial Literacy, Hygiene, First Aid, and human-trafficking awareness (members of THE CODE.org), as well as life and other soft skills. SISU also includes Japanese lessons on request.

All staff are trained in Safeguarding to ensure a safe environment.
